In occasion of Salone del Mobile’s 60th edition, Italian furniture brand Cassina will present ‘MODULAR IMAGINATION’, an exclusive collaboration with late designer and entrepreneur Virgil Abloh, that’ll appeal to the child in you!

After a two-year break, Salone del Mobile is back in town and with it, a lively crowd of design professionals and enthusiasts who’ll stroll down the streets of Milan to discover what top brands have in store for them. On this occasion, furniture and interior design label Cassina will unveil a special collaboration with no other than Virgil Abloh, the man behind it-brand Off-White, as well as the Louis Vuitton men’s collections, who died last November sending a shockwave across the fashion industry and beyond. Entitled ‘Modular Imagination’ and developed before Abloh’s passing, this one-of-a-kind project consists of two matt black texturised building elements, that come in different sizes and can be combined to create new worlds in any space. Distinctive yet versatile, these pieces bear the ‘CASSINA-ABLOH’ logo and, with their unexpectedly soft surfaces, they can even be used as benches and footstools. ’Modular Imagination’ will be on display at the brand’s flagship store (Via Durini 16, Milan), in an orange-tinged setting, during the Design Week and Men’s Fashion Week, and from next autumn it’ll also be available for purchase at the Cassina shops, as well as a selection of both digital and physical concept stores.
