What was your very first job as a model? What were your feelings towards it?
My very first job was for Ermenegildo Zegna Fall 16/17 runway show. At that time the house was curated by the creative direction of the one and only Stefano Pilati. I was impressed by how many people was waiting for us to come out. I was surprised to discover the huge numbers of insiders that work behind the showcase of a single collection. It was an amazing experience which let me learn how fashion houses actually operate.
Do you like your name? Is it linked to a particular person before you or does it have another origin?
I don’t mind it. I was named after my grandfather, a common habit in Southern Italy, and I’m proud of that. To be precise, I had to be named Giosuè Sabato Napolitano, my grandpa’s full name (“sabato” means “Saturday” E.D.) but my Czech mom luckily rejected that combination of names.
A smell that reminds you of home.
Fresh cut grass, autumn fallen leaves and ragù, a traditional Italian sauce for pasta.
What’s your recurring dream?
I don’t recall any recurring dream.
If you had to decide, would you choose to change your past or control your future?
I feel like this is a tricky question. None of the alternatives would be actually helpful. Anyways I could change some choices I’ve made in the past.

Is there a movie, or a book, that marked your life in some way?
There are plenty of masterpieces that I love and that inspired me. I’m simply not able to choose one over the others.
Right now, what point in your career do you think you’ve reached?
After the singing video recorded for The Greatest? I hit the low point (laughs, E.D.)
Do you have a secret diary where you put down your thoughts?
I keep conversations with myself at any moment. Good thoughts randomly pop out of nowhere, so I usually write them down on whatever surface is near me before they fade away.
Who’s the first person you call when you get good or bad news?
My girlfriend, Martina. Except when she is the bad news…
Would you ever go bungee jumping?
I don’t think so, I’m too scared. I’d rather find strong emotions elsewhere and elsehow.
Do you like gardening? Are you any good at it?
I wouldn’t say I’m good at it…however since me and Martina moved together to our new flat, we found ourselves taking care of a dozen of cute plants. Each one has a personal name.

Are you superstitious? Do you have any rituals before a fashion show?
As a southern Italian boy I am by no means careless about superstitions, but limited to those beliefs such as the meaning of a black cat crossing the street. Before the shows I just try to enjoy the moment and the buffet!
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Lately, it has been all about food delivery!
Are you a messy or super organized guy?
I’m the “super organized, but messy” kind of guy.
Tell me the happiest memory from your childhood.
Summer evenings by the campfire, surrounded my family. We used to get together at my grandparents’ in the mountains.
If you found Aladdin’s lamp, what would you ask for?
