If as a child, someone had told you that you’d become a model walking down the catwalk for brands by the likes of Loewe and Blumarine, would you have believed them?

No, I think I would’ve been really surprised because, as a child, I always wanted to become a doctor and wasn’t thinking about modelling or working in the fashion industry at all.

What do you consider your biggest career achievement so far? And what’s next on your professional bucket list?

My biggest career achievement is undoubtedly walking for Loewe twice. It was an incredible experience, especially since I admire their style and have always been interested in crafting my own image. In the future, I dream of walking for Saint Laurent or Prada, and collaborating with Issey Miyake.

Constantly being in the spotlight has shaped your self-image. How has this influenced your self-esteem?

I think I was always quite confident. So in that sense modelling didn’t change me that much, but it helped me a lot with trying out different fashion styles and finding my own style. Which makes me more confident for sure.

Modelling is often associated with physical appearance. Is there a particular personality trait you feel is essential to your success in this industry?

I don’t know If it’s essential, but what helps me a lot in the industry is being super outgoing. I love to talk to and get to know people.

You’re studying Fashion Design in Berlin. Which contemporary designers inspire you and why?

What inspires me a lot is Japanese fashion, for example Issey Miyake. I also love the ‘gorpcore’ style from brands like Roa Hiking or Salomon.

Your Instagram shows a passion for drawing. How do you balance your artistic pursuits with your modelling career and studies?

I love to do my portrait sketches while travelling, for example drawing people in the metro. And in the sense of my studies, modelling helps me a lot, because I have access to so many different designs. So, it’s easy to connect and combine my different interests.

What’s your go-to outfit when you’re not on the runway?

For sure layering something with a skirt, like skirt and trousers and some hiking sneakers. Then I love to wear ties and the colours brown, black and silver. And of course, a lot of silver jewellery (Smiles, E.D.).

How do you unwind after a long day of work?

Taking a long, hot shower and having tasty food.

What’s the most rewarding part of being a model?

Getting your money after waiting for months (Laughs, E.D.) No but for real, having the honor to wear so many beautiful and creative designs.

Is there a brand or designer you’d like to collaborate with in the future? And if so, why?

As I said earlier, I’d love to work with Issey Miyake, because I love their style and especially their pleated fabrics from Pleats Please Issey Miyake.
